1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember your visit so it can work better next time, and they help us understand how the Site is used. Some are set by us, some by trusted third-party services we use.
2. Categories we use
Functional (always on)
Strictly necessary for the Site to work — for example, the cookie that remembers your consent choices, or the session cookie that keeps you logged in if you are an admin. These cannot be turned off.
Statistics (with your consent)
Help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can make it better. This includes Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. We only set these cookies after you accept Statistics cookies in our consent banner.
Marketing (none in v1)
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. We will update this policy if that ever changes.
3. Specific cookies
At launch, the following cookies may be set on your device:
- complianz_consent_status — remembers your consent choices for 12 months. (Functional)
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 cookies that distinguish unique users. Lifespan up to 2 years. (Statistics, set only after consent)
- _clck, _clsk — Microsoft Clarity cookies that help us understand usability. Lifespan up to 1 year. (Statistics, set only after consent)
- WordPress session cookies — temporary cookies that keep an admin user logged in. Cleared when the browser is closed. (Functional)
4. Managing cookies
You can change your preferences at any time using the consent banner that appears on your first visit. You can also clear cookies via your browser settings:
If you block all cookies, some features of the Site may not work as intended.
5. Third-party cookies
When you click an embedded element (a Calendly booking widget, a YouTube video, a LinkedIn share), that third party may set their own cookies under their own privacy policy. We do not control these cookies. Their terms apply.
6. Changes to this policy
We update this policy whenever the cookies we use change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
